I filed online for free, no fee etc. I had it direct deposited. However I did have money taken from my refund for a student loan. Will my rebate come as a direct deposit or a paper check? Did my money go to the student loan people and then to me, making it 2nd or 3rd party? I’m not sure how this works.
I’M 28 yrs old, married, two kids and have a full-time job as an Assistant Manager at a bank. My dream is to become a School Counselor but occurs the pay is not so good. I make a little over 40,000.00 a yr. If I go to college to become A Counselor and graduate in 4 yrs. I’m possible going to make the pay that I’m making now…My wife advices me that I should save the headache of going to college for 4yrs. only to work backwards since I already have a great paying career. At my current job I have the opportunity of becoming a Branch Mgr. or a Sales Specialist causing me to increase my pay and receive a promotion. "One thing that I do love is money" Although, I do love helping solve peoples problems but I do have to say that: I can do this where I’m currently working now. I would like to go to college just to say that I have a degree and to become more educated. The thing is… do I go to school to to receive a degree than owe so much student loan money only to go out in the job market to find that no one is hiring and to receive a pay decrease. If I do go to college it would be online. Does anyone have any experiences? or guidance??
I have a Student loan that I just finished paying off, as well as a credit card that was paid off years ago. However they are still showing up on my credit report as negative revolving debt? How do I get them off?
I’m 17, I turn 18 in January. I’m in my senior year of high school but I wont graduate because I’m behind on some classes. I plan on dropping out but not permanently. I live in an abusive household and I’ve been given permission to leave. I know there will be those of you who think dropping out will be the worst mistake of my life but right now it is my only option and the only bad thing will be an extra year of school. So my idea is to drop out, make up what I can online like I already am, and then move, going back into high school to graduate the year of 2012 to get my diploma in a different state, then going onto college. So far my plan is very good considering I’ve only had it a month or so, I just have one setback. Where I’m moving, I’ll be needing to get an apartment to live in while I’m going to high school and college. Only problem is, I don’t have the money to pay for the apartment during my "senior" year. I plan on living with someone but I don’t want to be dependent on his income for my escape plan. Are there any ways that when I’m 18 there is a chance of getting some kind of student loan or money grant while I’m still in high school as long as I pay it back? If not, is there anything else that I could do to get the money?
I’ve considered the idea of getting a job while I’m in high school and before but it would still only bring in enough money for rent for a few months maybe depending on what kind of job I can find with no previous work experience. Would my parents be able to take out a loan in their name for me that I could start paying back at a specific time (i.e. after I graduate college?)
I forgot some student loan information when I filed my taxes. I received my refund about a month ago and I just got some tax papers the other day and I can get about 400 dollars more by filing a 1040x. I want to make sure that filing the 1040x before may 2nd will not change when I receive the economic stimulus package.
Thanks!
